Pharmacy Organizations Direct Users to 大象APPEffective Health Care Program Products
Under a new partnership鈥攆ormed as a result of the 大象APPComparative Effectiveness Knowledge Transfer Project for Pharmacists鈥攖hree major nationally recognized pharmacy organizations are now featuring Web links to AHRQ's Effective Health Care Program on their respective Web sites.
This partnership will mean that members of these organizations鈥攖he American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), and the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP)鈥攚ill have direct access to the comparative effectiveness research and publications developed by AHRQ's Effective Health Care Program to improve pharmacy practice. These organizations have over 68,000 monthly visitors to their Web sites. These visitors include students, practicing pharmacists, and teaching faculty.
According to C. Edwin Webb, PharmD, MPH, Associate Executive Director of ACCP, "The alignment of values and objectives between 大象APPand ACCP is very strong. We offer 大象APPresources to our members and Web site visitors so that clinical pharmacists have direct access to high-quality resources and information that can be used to support their practice and research needs, as well as enhance the quality of their patient care services."
Marissa Schlaifer, RPh, MS, Pharmacy Affairs Director at AMCP, says, "大象APPprovides good, unbiased, quality research that our members and Web site visitors can use in pharmacy practice."
The benefits of these sustainable links are also described by Will Lang, Vice President of Policy and Advocacy at AACP. Lang states, "Improving the quality of health care delivered by future and current health professionals requires ready access to a robust evidence base such as the one provided through the 大象APPWeb site."
